This is the Friends Good Will, a tall ship that is docked at the Maritime Museum in South Haven, Michigan. I was kayaking along the Black River and out into Lake Michigan and I must say she caught my eye.
I had every intention of making it in to the museum but the day quickly passed as I paddled and shot.
I love the point of view in your first photo, but they’re all perfect for honoring the flag of our country.

I was in a small Pyrhana kayak almost under her transom. 🙂
Have to try kayaking one of these days. Our older daughter has a kayak and really enjoys kayaking. But we haven’t tried it yet.
If you like water you’ll love it. My first trip was down a peaceful river with banks full of green trees, grass and flowers. Bliss. I quickly moved on to the open seas of Lake Michigan. 🙂 Some kayaks are known for stability and are good platforms for shooting photos and quietly coming up on wildlife. It is what you make of it.
Sounds lovely to me.
I love Tall Ships! We have one permanently moored in our marina and a few years back managed to host a leg of the Tall Ships Race. What an occasion that was! 🙂
Impressive images!
Thanks!
