Life in the dunes along Lake Michigan
Muskegon Yacht Club’s Wednesday night’s summer series, Aug. 23, Rampage, sailing on a sunbeam.
What a beautiful image. It looks sharp and ‘ennui’ somehow.
Thank you, and…I looked again with new eyes. I’ve raced on this boat, which is a racing boat and some kinda hard work. Racing ‘yachtsmen’, I’m not fond of that term, I prefer ‘sailors’, racing sailors come to have an almost languid, balletic grace when they relax, at least the experienced ones do. No matter their income the good ones do have an elegant ‘Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?’ air about them. I have excellent shots of so many superb sailors looking casual in situations that would sicken landlovers.
Oh lovely! Wonderful capture of light! The combination of water, light and boat is a captivating subject.
Thank you, now you know a big reason why I race. 🙂
