We had gale winds today and Lake Michigan was roaring on the other side of the dune but this was going on in our back yard. The grass and earth smell so sweet!
Saw the first bloom myself today (New England)…
It was an unusually warm winter in the Great Lakes. The city of Chicago had no measurable snow fall in the months of January and February which hasn’t happened since they started keeping track about 140 years ago. We usually have drifts of snow laying about in the shadows all the way through mid April. It’s odd.
