Life in the dunes along Lake Michigan
On my way home to Colorado for a funeral we paused outside of Scottsbluff, Nebraska:
I’d love to be there. Thanks Kim, the landscapes seems to be made of sculptures.
Beautiful light and amazing cloud!
In many other trips throughout my life we had always went straight to the mountains bypassing these ‘sentinels of the high plains’. This time we stopped to look closer.
That cloud…I could not figure out why I liked this best then I realized the cloud was mirroring the formation of the butte bellow. Nature is so cool like that.

Interesting cloud formation
So much of the high plains is all about the sky.
Esa nube está preciosa!!!
Thank you, it’s different than my usual sea scape but as I shot I felt they were ships of rock in a high sea of grass.
Gorgeous! That second photo in particular is very impactful.
