Cut Oranges

That’s all this post is, orange photos that didn’t make the cut two months ago for the Orange You Glad challenge. I stumbled upon them as I was clearing files.

The above photo was shot on a cold January day and it features the Muskegon South Pierhead Light rising above the the mountainous ice formations that form every Winter in our Harbor.

The photo below was shot 6 months later near Duck Lake and shows why we put up with Winter. Summer on the Great Lakes is the stuff of dreams.

There you have it, extreme oranges that didn’t make the cut.

  1. Poems in orange. They are quite beautiful Kim, the first is pure fantasy made reality. The second one remembers me the paintings of Hopper where people is taken the sun in warm afternoons just seeing it. Thanks.

    1. Very much so…I am a volunteer lighthouse keeper. We just formed a group to care for the Muskegon lights. The one in this photo is the outer light.
