One Word Challenge Seafoam
I wasn’t going to do these challenges but then I stumbled upon an evocative word; seafoam.
Seafoam. The very word sends me to the beaches of my memory. Below you find actual seafoam colored “seafoam” at Panama City Beach, Florida. I love these colors.
The next photo with the color ‘seafoam’ in it is a non-traditional source. I’m sure in this context that green is thought of as jade but there it is, looking shot through with seafoam to my eyes.
Seafoam. You know, we have a popular confection up here called seafoam. It’s an airy, foamy brittle that is covered in chocolate. What’s not to like?

I’m glad you decided to contribute. Your images are wonderful. The first seems so peaceful and quiet.
Thank you. ‘Seafoam’ holds many nice memories for me.
I wouldn’t surprised to see Aphrodite emerging from that amazing sea, thanks Kim.
🙂 What I did see was a Shrimp Trawler heading out for a day of fishing and 2 Stand Up Paddleboarders enjoying a quiet morning on the surf.
Where was your beach photo taken? A perfect photo for the challenge 😉
It was a foggy morning during the last week of December 2014 in Panama City Beach, Florida. It’s in the state’s “panhandle”. Those sugar white sand beaches are on the Gulf of Mexico.
Thanks.
Oh, such beauty! I love the way the wave catches the light. That didn’t look like a Lake beach… 😉
Yeah..I did go a bit further afield for that challenge…salt water has a ‘look’. Lake Michigan rarely gets foamy as the ocean does.
