Yes, they are magical, time is suspended. I recommend kayaking. There are a lot of kayaking social groups but I love it for the ability to get away from the masses and be at peace with nature.
Thank you. Sometimes I do stretch my interpretations of the WPC or I just long to do the unexpected but this photo shows why we moved here. Serenity is a balm.
When we are not kayaking we ride bikes. It is a good workout that nicely complements cycling. 🙂
(I am still laughing at myself for thinking, “Why, there aren’t any ‘pants’ under this heading at all.”)
There’s something about both dusk and dawn that are special, don’t you think? I think I need to try kayaking sometime.

I agree wholeheartedly! Beautifully done.

Wonderful choice for the challenge, so calm and serene.
Best regards, DIna
Thank you. 🙂
Looks so serene I wish I was there. Beautiful photo.
Thank you, and it is so serene when Lake Michigan does this. It happens mainly in the early summer at sunset. Everything turns quicksilver.
Great capture. Makes me want to be there.
Thank you.
Looks like nice calm waters – which certainly contribute to the serene mood – as does the space around the kayak. Very nice.
Thank you.
Positioning the horizon midway up the frame is great — really puts us into the shot. Nicely done.
Thank you. It is not my usual framing. I was going for that feeling I get when Lake Michigan turns silver.
Tranquil light writing a poem in blue 🙂
Very nicely said, thank you. 🙂
Calming, tranquil…beautiful choice for the challenge
Thank you. I can hardly wait until the ice melts and I can be out on The Lake again. 🙂
Makes me want to be out there kayaking in that beautiful light
