Weekly Photo Challenge: Angular
Angular Velocity
“..in physics defined as the rate of change of angular displacement and is a vector quantity (more precisely, a pseudo-vector) which specifies the angular speed (rotational speed) of an object and the axis about which the object is rotating.”
There’s Something Happening Here by Harry Brimmer was on the Juror’s Short List for Installation during Art Prize:2014 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mr. Brimmer is a professor of Advertising + Public Relations at Michigan State University and he installed several figures for this year’s ArtPrize. These were on the UICA’s (Urban Institute for Contemporary Art) roof. It received a lot of attention because of the subject matter and I’m playing fast and loose with physics to make a social commentary about the subject matter. To this aching soul yearning for light it does seem as violence makes our little world spin faster.
I didn’t watermark this because I felt it would pull focus from his work but, please, don’t use without my permission. Interested in more about the artist and this work? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wNSWpFydPU
