Ice Fishing On Lake Muskegon, or, Pushing Levels

Ice Fishing On Lake Muskegon, or, Pushing Levels

Pretty interesting atmospherics on this day. We were sitting in a bar watching the Winter Olympics
and during commercial breaks turned our chairs to watch the play of sun and shadows on the
snow of ice bound Muskegon Lake.

I’ve noticed that so many established photo bloggers say, “This is straight from the camera. I only
changed the levels.” Well, this is straight out of my camera but I pushed those levels.

    • Ha ha! I know! Ice and snow in their many forms are interesting. In the winter months we have entire little cities of ‘fishing shacks’ that appear on our larger inland lakes. I’ve not done it but I understand it’s a social thing where the men, and it is mostly men, get together inside a hut, sit around a hole drilled in the ice and drink beer or whisky and have a good time with friends. If they catch a fish it is a bonus.
